MORE THAN EVER BEFORE IN HISTORY, INDIVIDUALS CAN NOW BAND TOGETHER TO SOLVE GRAND CHALLENGES. THAT IS PARTLY WHAT NEWBRASKA - OR ANY ONLINE COMMUNITY - IS ABOUT.

To combine resources to counter negative trends such as brain drain or slow growth.

To throw off the baggage of the past - no matter how successful - and embrace start-up thinking.

To attract the attention of the world to your company, your latest projects and your beloved community.

To create new value in innumerable ways.

To unmask hidden potential.

To create new energy that is powerful enough to lift all boats. To go big.

Where do we begin?

We start with 'moonshot thinking' as recently demonstrated by inventor and entrepreneurial rocketeer, Elon Musk. We are bogged down by incremental change when we need exponential change. Try to imagine redesigning your entire industry. It helps to study the brain and hyperlinked 'neuro-patterns.'

This prepares us to study trends in our ecosystem and the changes our end user is experiencing. As society struggles with wellness, social justice, office culture and disruptive technology, remember: every setback also creates a business opportunity that can be tested affordably.

This is the essence of 'start-up thinking' as explained by Eric Ries in The Lean Start Up and The Start Up Way. This is what will, over time, attract UrbaNatural, "H3" talent.

Finally, we take on employee engagement: finding meaning in work, serving the greater good, embracing diversity at the strategic level, unleashing creative flow and finally, understanding personal growth as a pragmatic workplace strategy with financial results.

Yes, Nebraska faces enormous problems such as brain drain, the coronavirus and social injustice, but a collective, well-designed 'matrix organization' can solve them.

This community can be guided and inspired by new insights about buyers, employees and leaders - NEWbraska's new principles (see below):

See the completed vision: Where there is no vision, the people perish.

Cultivate congruent conditions: External circumstances reflect what's going on inside.

Create the 'quantum' plan: Realign your firm around your highest business vision.

Give what appears missing: If you want more respect, respect others more.

Act from who you want to be, not from how you feel or where you are.

Embrace what appears broken: Accept everything on your journey as a supportive element.

Live on the emerging edge: Leave your comfort zone in order to release unbounded possibilities.
